Say It Is Well Anyway

“6 Whether it is favorable or unfavorable, we will obey the Lord our God, to whom we are sending you, so that it will go well with us, for we will obey the Lord our God.“ Jeremiah 42:6 (NIV)

We all face seasons where it is difficult to say, “It is well.” Maybe you’re in the midst of it this Christmas season? I started thinking when is it a struggle to say, “It is well”.

• When you are waiting on God’s perfect timing

• When you receive bad news which you weren’t expecting

• When you are facing sickness and find yourself praying for a miracle

• When you find yourself walking through unemployment

• When your heart is broken and you're seeking the Lord to mend it

• When your wallet is empty and you’re not sure how you’re going to afford Christmas gifts

• When your car breaks down on side of the highway in bad weather

When we say, “It is well” even in the hard moments. We are speaking in faith that one day God will make it all well!

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I pray for those today who are struggling to say, “it is well.” Lord, we still find reasons to praise You in every season! You are so good to us! In Jesus Name, Amen
